Rinse off any blood being careful NOT to damage
any feathers, For birds duck size or smaller you can take an old sock
or stocking , cut the toe out of it and carefully slide it over birds
head and around body making sure feathers and wings are in proper
place then put in plastic bag and freeze.
For birds larger than
ducks , rinse off any blood and place in plastic bag making sure feathers
and wings are in proper place ,( in turkeys wrap their heads
up first in paper towel to help keep blood off of feathers)
place in plastic bag with tail sticking out ( do not try and make
turkey fit in bag by bending tail feathers) then place in freezer.
NOTE
Any Eagles,Osprey,Owls,Songbirds or Waterbirds
are
protected Federally and require you to have a special Federal
Permit before you can have it mounted.
